WHAT WE DO
We work with survivors…
To heal, re-establish power, reduce shame, and increase healthy boundaries and genuine trust, safety and love; and gain the self-confidence to have healthier, more fulfilling relationships.
We work with supporters and professionals…
To understand and use best practices with training and other tools to help others fight for survivors’ human rights, change policies, and deploy effective strategies and evidence-based practice and programming to advocate for high-risk individuals.
We work with researchers…
To consult with others and conduct rigorous research to gain insights used to push for meaningful change.
OUR IMPACT

WHO WE ARE
Emancipation Nation was founded by Dr. Celia Williamson after losing friends to human trafficking. Every day, when she drove to work, she would see women on the street involved in prostitution and was determined to help them. Over the span of 30 years, Dr. Williamson has increased awareness of the issue and has created research-backed, peer-reviewed, and tested best practices to help survivors of various forms of human trafficking heal. She has trained professionals to help survivors and prevent high-risk individuals from becoming victims through her platform, Emancipation Nation Network.

“I survived my victimization and circumstances in poverty — not to stay silent, but to stand as a testament and speak louder for those who are still struggling to be heard.” — Dr. Celia Williamson
