Dr. Celia Williamson has over 30 years of anti-trafficking experience. She is a distinguished professor of social work at The University of Toledo, where she has received over $3.5 million in federal, state, and foundation-level funding to study sex trafficking and prostitution. She hosts the oldest and largest international academic human trafficking conference in the world. 

Now at the top of her profession, her mission is to help survivors of various forms of human trafficking and help prevent more victims through her platform, Emancipation Nation Network.

Anna Schramm, MSW, LSW

CEO and Licensed Independent Social Worker, Supervision

Anna Schramm coordinates the International Human Trafficking & Social Justice Conference. Over the last eight years under her guidance, the conference has grown exponentially to welcome thousands of attendees from 60 countries and all 50 U.S. states.

Anna also coordinates the Global Association of Human Trafficking Scholars (GAHTS), which is a diverse community of researchers, academics, and advocates from 53 countries and 47 U.S. states. Its  mission is to respond to human trafficking by moving the knowledge base forward.

Anna is the recipient of the 2019 Social Justice Leader Award  from the University of Toledo’s Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute and has been a finalist for the SOAP’s Project Liberator Award in 2020 and 2025. Anna plans to continue her important work alongside her fellow advocates and is excited for the meaningful change it will bring.
